Basingstoke Voluntary Services (BVS) produces a range of Signpost leaflets highlighting the support available around a specific service. To date we have produced a Signpost leaflet for Over 55's in Basingstoke and Deane; Carers; Families with Young Children; Disabilities; Counselling Our local council is Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council (BDBC) and it is run by elected councillors who are voted for by local people. Councillors are responsible for making decisions on behalf of the community about local services, for example rubbish collection and leisure facilities, and agreeing budgets and Council Tax charges.
