Merlin Directory / Business Benefit to Residents

Business Benefit to Residents

The BVS Merlin Charity Directories promotes the services of the voluntary and community sector and those businesses that provide a community benefit to the residents of Basingstoke and Deane. An example is the Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service regarding their free fire home safety checks to identified vulnerable persons.

A possible entry could be the South West Trains Passenger Assistance Service

BVS also produces a range of Signpost leaflets highlighting the support available around a specific service. To date we have produced a Signpost leaflet for Over 55's in Basingstoke and Deane; Carers; Families with Young Children; Disabilities; Counselling

Businesses can advertise in these leaflets if they provide services within the community. An example is Lloyds Pharmacy who provide a Prescription Collection, delivery, and dosset box service and free eye tests for older people in their own homes

Search the Merlin Charities Directory by the Name of the Organisation. Type in the first letter of the name and then use the drop down to select the organisation

Search by Service

Merlin Services Search. Use the first box to select the Home Office Services Classification and then the second box to select the specific service you are interested in. The organisation(s) that provide the service will then appear.

Services Wildcard Search

Merlin Charities Directory Service Wildcard Search. Type in any part of the Service you Require - type in enough to give you a good result eg disab for all services where disability or disabilities appear

Health Condition Support Search

Merlin Charities Directory Health Condition Support Group Search. Use the first box to select which NHS body part and then the second box to select the specific health condition. The information for the Support Group will then appear

Area Search

Merlin Charities Directory Area and Services Search. Use the first box to select the area and the second box to select the service that is available. The organisations(s) that provide the service in the area will then appear. TIP: For a service provided across the Borough select All of Basingstoke and Deane
