Basingstoke Voluntary Action provide a range of services to the local community throughout the year and strongly encourage local Community Groups, Charities, Forums etc to interact wherever possible. The BVA team will publish regular News items on the Latest BVA News page updating the local Charity and Community Community.
A wide range of training courses is also delivered throughout the year in partnership with the Borough Council. These are at very reasonable prices and local organisations are strongly encouraged to ensure a representative attends.
With such a diverse voluntary community within the Basingstoke & Deane area, BVA organises regular lunchtime Voluntary Sector Forums delivering a wide range of topics for information and discussion. These are free to attend and organisations are strongly encouraged to attend.
A DBS check may be needed for certain jobs or voluntary work, eg working with children, in healthcare or with vulnerable adults. BVA therefore deliver regular DBS sessions allowing relevant Volunteers to be checked
Basingstoke Voluntary Action interact with over 450 registered member organisations on a regular basis plus many other groups within Basingstoke & Deane. If you would like our support to promote your community group or charity with a targeted campaign, please let us know. We will try to tie campaigns in with national awareness events, where appropriate.
