'Facing Challenges and Embracing Change' is a phrase which encapsulated BVA in 2013/14 and the local voluntary plus community sector.
Necessity dictates that in order for BVA to remain a viable entity in challenging financial times we have had to restructure the organisation and carefully prioritise where our efforts are best directed, to achieve impact for Basingstoke & Deane Communities and residents. Whilst 'Challenges and Change' are pertinent to BVA these also clearly resonate not only with our own sector and membership, but also with colleagues operating within statutory sector organisations as the public purse further tightens.
Despite various challenges the team at BVA are embracing change and have been extremely busy re-working our services and activities to ensure we support voluntary action. The new website allows much better focus on the supporting role of BVA, providing easy access to a very wide range of local information alongside continued awareness of the role of volunteers and the requirement for a Youth Team within the Borough. BVA will be working much more closely with registered Charities and Voluntary Groups moving forward providing training and partnership opportunities and continually raising the profile of the excellent work undertaken by everyone.
Constructive feedback is always welcome or call our team via 01256 423816 or email firstname.lastname@example.org with any enquiries.
