Basingstoke and Deane Community Safety Forum
The Basingstoke Local Children's Partnership is one of the priority action groups that sit within the Basingstoke Area Strategic Partnership. The PAGs lead on the co-ordination and monitoring of actions against targets, ensuring that partnership activity focuses on and delivers the agreed BASP priorities within agreed timescales. The borough and all of its agencies and organisations are committed to reducing the gap between those who perform well and those who do not, while raising the aspirations and attainment of, and effectively safeguarding, all of its children and young people. Key priority areas include to reduce those not in education, employment or training (NEETs); improve the educational attainment of looked after children and attendance at school.

Hampshire County Strategy Group for Crime and Disorder The Country Strategy Group aims to promote community safety in Hampshire and prepare a Community Safety Agreement (CSA) for Hampshire in accordance with Government Regulations and a coordination of resources and activities between partners including district Crime and Disorder Reduction Partnerships (CDRPs). Membership includes representatives from district CDRP's, the Hampshire County Council, Police, Fire, Health, Probation, Drug and Alcohol Team (DAAT) and the Voluntary Sector. DAAT is a multi-agency partnership, responsible for the local implementation of the Government's ten year drug strategy 2008 - 2018: 'Drugs: protecting families and communities'. The strategy focuses on 4 key areas: Protecting communities through robust enforcement to tackle drug supply, drug related crime and anti-social behaviour; Preventing harm to children, young people and families affected by drug misuse; Delivering new approaches to drug treatment and social re-integration and Public information campaigns, communications and community engagement. |
