BVS is part of the Basingstoke and District Learning Partnership which produces an annual Voluntary and Community Sector Learning Programme known affectionately as the "Purple Book" with a range of workshops and courses especially designed for our sector

The Basingstoke and District Learning Partnership consists of Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council, Basingstoke Voluntary Services, The cost for courses (unless stated differently) is £5 for voluntary/community organisations within Basingstoke and Deane or £25 for others. For information on courses or to request an application form contact Sarah Fordham, Community Support Officer at Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council on 01256 845622 or email community.training@basingstoke.gov.uk The Basingstoke and Deane Local Sports Council also provides training for volunteers around sports. BVS is part of the Hampshire, Portsmouth, Southampton and Isle of Wight Council of Voluntary Service (CVS) and there is a CVS in every borough/city providing a similar service to BVS. Many CVS provide training and a combined programme is available on the Hampshire CVS Website
