What BVS can Offer

Basingstoke Voluntary Services (BVS) is the professional help and advice centre for voluntary and community groups in Basingstoke and Deane. We act as an umbrella organisation representing the Voluntary and Community Sector (VCS) with the Public and Private Sectors and network with other Councils for Voluntary Services (CVS) through membership of the National Association for Voluntary and Community Action (NAVCA).  BVS was set up in 1965 as a result of the town expansion and is the CVS for Basingstoke and Deane and works to provide people with opportunities to make a positive difference to their communities through volunteering; provide voluntary and community organisations with the resources to help them achieve their goals; champion the voluntary and community sector as an influential force for positive change.
